Today, I’ll be reviewing the EGLIPS Lively Lip Tattoo Cocktail in the #5 Bloody Mary. I purchased this because it advertises high moisture and the pictures show more of a matte finish. This is the first time I’m actually trying a lip tint or any product from EGLIPS.
NOTICE: Lots of pictures uploaded.
I purchased this off of beautynetkorea.com for $7.58USD (currently 30% off from $10.78USD). You can learn more about the product here. (This was the only English website I could search for with the translated info.)
First, let’s talk about the packaging.
It came in a nice silver mirrored package. Nothing special.
Plenty of time to use it.
I couldn’t find the ingredients listed on the package or online in English. (Can’t read Hangul very well.)
Let’s see what’s inside.
The bottle looks like glass, but it’s actually plastic and lightweight.
Well here goes.
As the instructions state, you should start off with a lip scrub to remove dead skin cells. Apply the product from the inside to outer areas without dabbing. Then, wait for it to completely dry for 20-30 mins. ๐จ Ain’t nobody got time for that!
First Impression:
The product is very lightweight and has a faint sweet strawberry candy(?) scent. It dries fairly quickly and is quite mosturizing even without any gloss or chapstick. Just be sure to wipe off any excess from the brush before applying or you’ll end up with dark streaks in different spots. ๐ It isn’t smudge-proof/resistant since it came off very, ย very slightly while testing with my finger. If you prefer a shine, you can just add a gloss. I personally love the matte finish.
Now, let’s fast-forward a little…well a lot. 8 hours to be exact.
Excuse the hot mess you see. (The lighting doesn’t help either.) It was a long day. ๐ด Now, it’s bedtime.
After 8 hours of wear, the tint still stayed intact. I’ve eaten, drank, dabbed with a napkin, etc. and didn’t have to worry about it fading much. However, I did have to apply chapstick after about 6 or 7 hours later (notice the slight shine). The tint also started to settle into the lines a little bit. The product can be easily removed with cleansing oil/balm.
Pros:
- Lightweight & moisturizing
- Reasonable pricing
- Lasting wear time
- No stickiness
- Matte finish
- Fast drying
Cons:
- Not smudge-proof/resistant
- Settles into lines over time
Overall Impression:
It did pretty much as advertised. The price is on the steeper side for lip tints, but the lasting power is worth it. Would I purchase again? Yes. Great purchase. Loved it!
What’s your favorite lip tint?
Thanks for checking out my first review! Hope you guys enjoyed it.
